Mark Nixon | Guelph CounsellorMark Nixon, M.A., RP

Over the past 10 years I’ve been helping individuals and couples from all walks of life through painful and challenging times in their lives.  As a Registered Psychotherapist and Counsellor, I have the knowledge and skills to help you through anger, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship conflict, and other difficult issues in your life and relationships.

Services & Specializations

I provide personal counselling, couples counselling, and marriage counselling in-person, by telephone, and online in historic Downtown Guelph. I have specialized training in the following counselling issues:

My Approach

As your counsellor, I ensure that you feel safe and can speak freely about your thoughts and feelings that you may have difficulty talking about with others or your partner. I will help you make sense of your experience and support you in better understanding yourself and your relationships. In turn, we’ll discover new ways for you to create the most effective change in your life.

My Background

I was born  in Guelph, Ontario and have spent most of my life appreciating this historic and vibrant city. My wife and I spent 5 years on the West Coast of British Columbia before recently returning to Guelph to start our own family. During my spare time I’m an avid hiker and nature photographer always looking for the next beautiful moment to capture.
